Owens Corning Roof Installation Overview
It's Georgia Rescue Roofing here. We just completed this new Owens Corning roof. You'll see we got the Owens Corning shingles in desert rose color, 50-year shingle with 130 mile-an-hour wind uplift.
Dead Valley and Membrane Installation
Right here is what us roofers call a dead valley. You can see we have multiple slopes coming down to this flat area. Once we hit that flat area, we create the dead valley, which is made up with a true tie-in. We come up with the underlayment. This is our modified cap sheet. It's a two-ply membrane.
First you have your modified base sheet, and then you have your modified cap sheet. That membrane cap sheet, both of them tuck up underneath here with an 18-inch overlap between the shingles and the flat roof modified.
Ventilation and Gutters
You can see we don't have a conventional ridge cap. We have what we call dual louver vents, and this is to relieve any attic heat pressure. You have a 2-inch lead boot color painted to match the roof shingle desert rose.
As you can see, we have gutters that we reused. We detached them and then we reattached them as well throughout the process.
Referral Program and Contact Information
All right guys, one more thing I didn't want to leave out: our referral system. We love them to death. We greatly appreciate friends and family and returning customers. This roof next door was a referral. We roofed that sometime last year. If you would, give us a buzz. We'd love to keep the referrals coming. We'll help you out in any way we can. If you guys need us for anything, Rescue Roofing, give us a call. We do it all.
